This scene illustrates the Annunciation of the Angel to Mary and the Vistitation of Mary to Elizabeth. The quotation is from Scripture (Luke, 1,28), but is transmitted through the channel of liturgy.
There is an epigraphic similarity between this inscription and that at Bon-Encontre, but this capital does not date before the end of the twelfth century.
