Angels labeled as evangelists and angels adorn the four capitals on the two piers at the crossing (northwest and southwest). The capitals are dated to the end of the 11th- beginning of the 12th century.

Representations of the evangelists as angels is not unusual and was found most often in the Auvergne. This iconographic analogue is found at Notre-Dame-du-Port (Clermont-Ferrand), Volvic, and Mozac.
